JASROOP MIGLANI

First Year    (she/her)

I joined MAPS to gain more exposure of the medical field while meeting other students with similar goals at the same time. My personal goal was to talk to older premed students with more experience so I could determine the right path to follow over the next four years. I really enjoy meeting other students, especially during this time with little social contact. MAPS has helped me recognize how the diverse backgrounds of different medical students allows each individual to discover their own pathway to becoming a doctor.

I joined MAPS to learn more about the pre-med application process and to find peers and resources that would help me along my journey. So far, my favorite part of MAPS has been the diversity of speakers that have come to give talks -- each one has had their own unique identity, background, and experiences, and they have helped expand my understanding of what it means to become a med student.

First Year    (she/her)

I joined MAPS because I wanted to learn more about the whole experience of being in pre-health/pre-med from people who have experienced the path to medical school or are closer to taking the step of entering medical school.

My favorite part of MAPS has definitely been that I have been able to see a lot of people who look like me who are in the pre-health path, and I think that representation encourages me to pursue my dreams of following that path even more.
